The Joker has offered peacefully to be imprisoned in terribly emblematic and widely recognized Arkham Asylum. Clearly, something fishy about it. Soon it becomes obvious that the chaotic villain has a card up his sleeve, as he organizes a huge lift with some of the greatest criminal minds present in the hospital. Bad for Batman. Potentially good for the players, who have long wait for a really good game and consistent bat.
Following the proposal of life on the video game industry to the gameplay - the one that says that "the simplest and best fancy" - Arkham Asylum makes use of various movements of the hero, most performed with direct commands. These are combinations of combos, acrobatic stunts, disarmament and most all of the unmistakeable classic parafernalha utility belt (or "bat-belt", as you prefer). This becomes clear in the first bonus stage, which will put it in a small space crammed with thugs.
The gameplay features, basically a parade of the hero in the midst of several generic enemies - those guys with style wool cap or hood that make the art in comics since ... well, since ever - involving everything from direct attacks by combos, multiple attacks (involving multiple enemies) and counter-attacks. In addition to direct movements, you can still count on several occasions with a little help from their environments, cleverly engineered to become potential weapons.
The range of sneak attacks also has maneuvers typically Splinter Cell, the type in which the hero approaches from behind and chokes the enemy before it can at least sketch out a reaction. Of course, Batman is the protagonist (the hero politically correct values to ensure), these attacks are merely intended to invalidate the lunatics of the scenario. Batman: Arkham Asylum still brings the ability to share records in an online ranking.
