Synopsis

An unknown virus kills the people and animals from a small tribe in Zaire, in 1967. A monkey carrying the virus, is smuggled to the small fictional town of Cedar Creek, Calif., and defile the young Jimbo (Patrick Dempsey). Soon, the disease begins to show signs that it is spreading at a frightening speed. Alongside his former wife, Dr. Robby Keough (Rene Russo), Dr. Daniels (Dustin Hoffman) fights against time to find out antídoto.Durante the film, several people in his research team are infected, which causes panic and the need to stop the virus as soon as possible, once and for all.
