Synopsis

Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood) has spent a lifetime in the ring, having touted and trained great boxers. Frankie wont go to the fighters he works with the same lesson that follows to his life: above all, protect yourself. Hurt by the removal of his daughter, Frankie is a closed person and only relates to Scrap (Morgan Freeman), his only friend, who also takes care of your gym. Until that comes into your life Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank), a determined young woman who has a gift still uncut for boxing. Maggie wants Frankie to train, but he does not accept train women and, moreover, believes that she is too old to start a career in boxing. Despite the negative of Frankie, Maggie decides to train daily at the gym. It is supported by Scrap, who encourages her to move on. Beaten by the determination of Maggie, Frankie finally agrees to be his coach.
