Synopsis

The film begins with a speaker from the spartan life of the young King Leonidas, also revealing the rigor and discipline it has undergone during his childhood. At age seven, is taken from his mother to start "Agogo" - hands-on training for a Spartan king. In an exercise of individual survival, the king does not return as expected, being given up for dead. However, years later, Leonid returns home, where he is acclaimed.

Thirty years later, the speaker tells of a Persian messenger comes to Sparta and communicates his desire to dominate Xerxes in the region. Leonidas, offended by this message, kill the whole delegation Persian and decides to start a war with Xerxes. Despite the warnings, Leonidas decides to take 300 men of his bodyguard and march to meet the Persian invaders.
