Synopsis:

1960, in Detroit (Michigan), Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear) form a typical American family in the hope of achieving the American Dream. Teacher in a local university, Robert was married to the teacher also Phyllis (Lauren Graham) and, with its 30 or so years, had six children. Engineer training and an inventor in spare time, Robert has created a device that would be used in all cars in the world. For the Kearns family was as if they had found gold. But the big challenge was when the young engineer was simply ignored by the giant assembly of cars, without appropriating that invention. Based on real facts, the film describes the story of a man who challenged the American auto industry, fighting for their rights and their recognition.
